As follows from the decree of the head of Uzbekistan dated April 21, 2021 on additional measures to actively attract investment in the field of geology, transformation of industry enterprises and expansion of the mineral resource base of the republic, another reorganisation was carried out in the geological industry.
It is aimed at reducing the cost of exploration for the discovery of new mineral deposits and increasing the flow of foreign direct investment in the industrial development of deposits.
a large joint-stock company called Uzbekgeologorazvedka is being created in the system of the State Committee for Geology. It will unite Kizilkumgeologiya, Samarkandgeologiya, Surkhangeologiya, Hisorgeologiya, Toshkentgeologiya, state unitary enterprises Central Laboratory and Geoburtekhnika, the document says.
The main tasks are to modernise the field of geology through the introduction of modern highly efficient equipment, reduce the cost of geological exploration and optimise costs, etc.
The document establishes, in particular, that Uzbekgeologorazvedka in 2025 will attract investments through public initial and secondary placement of shares with the assistance of international financial institutions and consulting companies.
As previously reported with reference to the decree of the head of state dated April 3, 2021 On optimising the structure and reducing the number of staff of state power and management bodies in the state bodies of the republic for the first time in recent years, there will be a reduction.
From May 1 to 15% will be reduced the number of management personnel of state authorities and administration.
The reasons are the introduction of modern market mechanisms of state regulation, the reduction of non-core tasks in government agencies and the introduction of digital technologies into their activities, as well as the involvement of the private sector in the implementation of government functions.
