A delegation led by the Minister of Interior Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Pulat Bobozhonov is currently on a working visit to the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Today, within the framework of the visit program, a meeting was held with the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Internal Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Seif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
At the meeting, which was held in a friendly and constructive spirit, both sides recognized that the official visit of the President of our country Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Emirates in March 2019 marked the beginning of a new stage in the development of Uzbek-Emirati relations. As a result of the event, a number of agreements were reached aimed at developing practical cooperation.
On the same day, the delegation of Uzbekistan took part in the grand opening of a prestigious event - the international defense and security exhibition IDEX-2021, which began its work in Abu Dhabi.
This international exhibition, which is attended by representatives of about 1300 companies from more than 60 countries, has enjoyed great prestige for several years as an international platform where the latest achievements in the field of defense and security are demonstrated.
The main purpose of the exhibition is to demonstrate the latest innovations in the field of artificial intelligence, technologies and equipment in the field of defense and police, as well as to promote the establishment of cooperation between governments of states and business representatives in this direction.
