Russian agricultural organisations produced 8.679 million tonnes of livestock and poultry for slaughter (live weight) in January-August, which is 3.4% more than in the same period last year, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported.
In August, production was 1.085 million tonnes, up 2% year-on-year.
