Copper prices slipped on Thursday as funds took profits on long positions, the dollar rose and sentiment turned negative on concerns about soaring coronavirus cases and stricter lockdowns, which could hit growth and demand.
Benchmark copper on the London Metal Exchange traded down 0.6% at $7,046.5 a tonne in official rings.
