President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Chairman of the Supreme Council of National Reconciliation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah, who arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit. Bilateral ties, peace process and other issues were on agenda. Mirziyoyev with deep satisfaction noted the dynamics of development of Uzbek-Afghan relations in recent years.
The parties expressed their readiness to participate in infrastructure projects of regional significance in Afghanistan.
Abdullah Abdullah expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome, highly appreciated the efforts of the Uzbek side, which contributed to the launch of inter-Afghan peace talks, as well as the consolidation of the actions of the international community to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan.
The guest expressed gratitude for the constant assistance and highlighted the contribution of Uzbekistan to the involvement of Afghanistan in regional trade and economic processes.
