Total of 45 COVID-19 cases reported in Uzbekistan

The coronavirus was detected in two more citizens who were in contact with passengers arriving from abroad. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

A total of 45 cases of COVID-19 were registered in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Health notes.

All border checkpoints of Uzbekistan from 00:01 on 23 March are closed for all persons except foreign citizens leaving Uzbekistan. The corresponding decision was made by the Special Republican Commission for the Prevention of the Import and Distribution of Coronavirus into Uzbekistan.

All enterprises and institutions of Tashkent, regardless of ownership, from 23 March, with the preservation of their main activities, must arrange for employees to leave for work in line with the law, and for other employees, activities should be organized as far as possible remotely or online.

All employees remaining in the workplace must wear personal protective equipment (masks). Those who violate the quarantine regime will be brought to disciplinary action.

Starting from 23 March, a warning will be given to people without personal protective equipment (masks) visiting public places in Tashkent, Karakalpakstan and regional centers.

From 6:00 on 25 March, for violation of this rule, a fine will be issued in the amount of 1 base estimated value (223 thousand soum), for repeated violation, the fine will be 3 base estimated values (669 thousand soum).
