Uzbekistan President receives Russia delegation

On December 3, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, receives a delegation from the Russian Federation led by First Deputy Chairman of the Government, Denis Manturov, who arrives to participate in the regular meeting of the Russian—Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission.

Heads of the Nizhny Novgorod and Omsk regions, Bashkortostan, and Krasnoyarsk Krai of Russia also participate in the meeting.

At the beginning of the conversation, the high ranking guest conveys sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to the President of Uzbekistan.

The parties discuss the practical implementation of the agreements reached following the high level meetings based on the "road map". The stable growth in trade volumes between the countries and the implementation of joint projects in the spheres of industry, energy, transport, metallurgy, chemistry, and other sectors are noted.

The importance of coordinated measures to maintain the dynamic of trade turnover, accelerate the implementation of cooperation projects in priority sectors, including industrial zones, and continue active contacts at the regional and business levels is stressed.

The fruitful results of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the accompanying business events in Tashkent are highly praised.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the heads of leading Russian companies present concrete plans to the President of Uzbekistan for the implementation of projects in the fields of IT, energy, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as the textile and food sectors.
