Uzbekistan, UAE elaborate on bilateral partnership

On 20 September 2022, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, a meeting was held between the heads of the foreign affairs agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates Vladimir Norov and Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan.

The agenda of the talks included topical issues of bilateral partnership.

The course of implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level was considered.

Special attention was paid to the coordination of efforts within the framework of international institutions, as well as in the format of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf - Central Asia. Vladimir Norov congratulated the UAE on obtaining the status of Dialogue Partner of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization at the SCO summit held on 15-16 September 2022 in Samarkand.

Issues of increasing mutual trade turnover, establishing air cargo transportation, and providing mutual benefits and preferences were discussed. Proposals were considered for organizing supplies from Uzbekistan to the UAE market of agricultural products, metallurgy, textiles, the provision of transport and consulting services.
